| Endangered Wildlife Trust - http://www.turtleprotection.org The Endangered Wildlife Trust is a British registered charity established in 1989 specifically to create and then to protect the Pacuare Reserve (800 hectares of tropical rainforest on the Caribbean coast of Costa Rica) and the critically endangered Leatherback Turtles which nest along its 6 kms of beach. This conservation work has since been extended to neighbouring Panama where the need for Leatherback protection is even greater. EWT has active volunteer programmes for all of its projects. |

| Rainforest Concern - http://www.rainforestconcern.org Rainforest Concern was established in 1993 to protect threatened rainforests and the biodiversity they contain. At present it has 18 conservation projects in 11 countries across Central and Latin America, India and Sri Lanka and works closely with local conservation organisations to protect rainforests. Much of its work involves the creation of protected corridors of forest between existing reserves to avoid forest fragmentation. Central to Rainforest Concern's philosophy is forming strong partnerships with leading conservation organisations in the countries where it operates, and working with local communities, facilitating the long-term success of projects. |
